For Haiti with Love, August Newsletter

Cruise4Haiti’s non-profit partner, For Haiti with Love is the only free emergency burn clinic in northern Haiti. Due to no electricity, burns are a very regular occurance in Haiti. And in their August Newsletter you can see for yourself all of the good that they’ve been doing for years in Haiti. Here is a short excerpt from their newsletter:
Pierre arrived as the result of a gas tank on a vehicle catching fire.
Presume didn’t say in his note, but the dry bloody bandages would tell me he went to the hospital first. For some reason they don’t just send them to us, but wrap them first with dry bandage which prolongs the treatment because you must first get the bandages softened, they debris the burns as they are removed.. The nurse will coat it in SSD Cream, wrap and then work on it the next day, but it delays the actual benefits of treatment by a full day and is painful.
